Source photos do not automatically become public. Your finished pet stays in your account; publishing it in the catalog is a separate choice.
How to create your own virtual pet
1. Prepare your photos
Use photos you own or have permission to use. The face, sides and body shape should be clear. Retro requires five views: front, left, right, angled and sitting. Use JPG/PNG/WebP images of at least 400×400 pixels, up to 8 MB each. The form and photo guide list the full requirements.
2. Choose the animal and add details
Check the supported animal and breed in the form and give your pet a name. Sound is optional. Personalized creation is currently available in Retro; custom Realistic creation is coming soon.
3. Check the price and review previews
The creation form shows current pricing and availability. Follow the stages in your account and review appearance and motion before final packaging.
4. Download your pet
Download the finished app from your account and install it on Windows. The installation guide explains setup and activation.

Notes and reminders, beside your pet
Colored notes, scheduled reminders and automatic sync with your Fredo account.
- Notes
- Create colored notes, change color and text formatting, and search your collection. Pop out opens a movable sticky window that stays on screen when you close the list. Pop in returns it to the list. On the web, drag the whole note and neighboring records move aside as you drag. Compact view shows a thin, single-line list. Keyboard arrows also rearrange records.
- Reminders
- Choose a date and time or a quick interval. Your running pet delivers a bubble and gentle sound. Snooze for five minutes or complete from the bubble. On the web, choose 5, 15 or 30 minutes, 1 or 3 hours, or a specific date and time. Reminders also support Pop out, rearranging and compact view. Enabled email reminders reach your registered email even when the browser is closed. Private-key mode requires a separate opt-in.
- Sync through activation
- Activated pets automatically use their Fredo account and start syncing without separate pairing or another key. Local use needs no account. The free Fredo demo needs one initial account sign-in for sync.
- Choose your protection
- Content is encrypted on your device and stored encrypted on the server. Default account recovery protects a key copy on the server, so the server can technically decrypt content. You can enable private-key mode in Notebook protection: keep the key safe, because new devices will need it. Existing private vaults are never switched automatically.
Your Windows pet must be running for its bubble; the web page must be open for its bubble and sound. Enabled email reminders reach your account email even when the browser is closed. In private-key mode, email reminders require a separate opt-in.

Can I create my own virtual pet?
Yes. Use photos you own or have permission to use to create a custom appearance, choose a name and optionally add a sound. First review and approve the likeness, then the animations. AI output is not an exact photo copy; this desktop pet maker does not include a freehand drawing editor.
Which styles can I create now?
Personalized Retro creation is available now. Custom Realistic generation is coming soon. Check the status of our ready-made Realistic pets separately on their product pages.
Is this a desktop pet maker or a mobile game?
The finished pet is an application for Windows desktops and laptops. macOS and mobile versions are not available yet.
Is custom creation free?
Custom creation is paid; the creation form shows the current price. Fredo is a trial demo, and other catalog pets are also paid.
Can I publish my pet?
Publishing in the catalog is a separate choice. Read the earnings guide and current terms before listing. Sales and income are not guaranteed.
Are my source photos automatically public?
No. Photos uploaded for creation are not automatically published. Listing the finished pet in the catalog is a separate choice.
