Computer requirements
Fredo pets are Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop applications. Internet access is needed for downloads, paid-pet activation, periodic license checks and updates. Download sizes vary by pet and version; leave free space for downloading, installing and updating. macOS and mobile versions are not available yet. Microphone and notification access are separate choices and are not required for basic use.
Automatic updates
Automatic updates are on by default in current versions. When a new version is published for your pet, the running app checks for it while online, installs it and restarts the pet. New features and actions included in that published update reach the corresponding pet this way. You can turn automatic updates off or check manually in the menu. Very old versions may need one manual installation of the latest official installer.
